Hi! My name is Sami Ouzaa and I am currently studying for my master's degree at Södertörn University in Stockholm, Sweden. Games have always been a huge part of my life, and before I embarked on the task of pursuing a career as a Level Designer, I was working as a substitute teacher for nearly three years.

That job taught me a substantial amount when it came to communication, problem solving, and improvisation. That’s how I learned how to make the best out of any situation that was brought before me, planned or otherwise. I have tried to harness these skills during my game development projects, since it revolves around having a clear communication with other programmers, designers, and artists.

Solving problems are par for the course when it comes to designing something worthwhile and interesting, like the extensive level layout for the Hellscape project. And if one is lucky, a bit of improvisation during the design process can lead to happy accidents in the form of new level features, such as the magnetic buttons for the puzzle cubes in the tenth level of the Chain Reaction project.

If you found my portfolio interesting, then please feel free to take a look at my CV page and contact me with the information provided below. Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon!
