ABOUT ME

Hello!
I'm Sami, and I’m a level designer at heart. My obsession starts with shaping spaces that tell stories and challenges players. I believe the best levels are those that feel intentional, where every element serves a purpose. Whether it’s to teach, to thrill, or to make the player pause and wonder. I’m endlessly curious, always studying games, dissecting what makes their worlds tick, and experimenting with new ways to engage players.
I have a theoretical background in both level design and game design, where I co-wrote together with Daniel Ström a bachelor's thesis about the effects of forewarning players about the difficulty in a game's level. You can read it here!
Video games that have had a significant impact on me are SOMA, The Beginner's Guide, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Return of the Obra Dinn, and Red Dead Redemption 2. My current favorite title is Split Fiction.
